How It Works
1. Consultation
Our FREE virtual consultation is the essential first step in your training journey!
During this brief conversation, we will discuss your dog’s behaviors of concern, the things that trigger those behaviors, and what an action plan to stop the behavior looks like. We’ll discuss all the details, and when you’re ready, schedule your first in-person training session!
2. In-Home Training
Training at home is essential as the majority of unwanted behaviors happen in or near the home.
Once you schedule your first in-home training session, we can begin our work together! We initiate this process with specific instruction for your dog to understand the desired behaviors and commands, as well as a thorough explanation for you, the owner, about what we are doing and why. We’ll work together until you and your dog are comfortable practicing your new skills.
3. On-Location Training
After you and your dog have mastered the tools of your training at home, it’s time to get out into the real world!
We’ll work to continue improving response to triggers and new situations that might have previously caused unwanted behaviors. You and your dog will continue to work as a team to tune out distractions and eliminate reactivity. The entire process is customized to your specific situation and concerns!
4. The End
We’ll work together until we reach the specific goals you laid out at the start of the process.
Our goal is for each and every client to no longer need our services, and while we’ll also remain a resource for questions, brush ups, and future challenges, we know we’re most successful when you and your dog don’t need us anymore!

Board & Train by Florida Dog Training
Whether you’re looking to jump start the training process, dealing with a particular behavioral challenge, or heading out of town for an extended trip, Board & Train by Florida Dog Training is here to help build and reinforce a solid training foundation in any canine.
During these on-site programs, we focus on the building blocks of training, including skills like SIT, DOWN, LEAVE IT, PLACE, as well as basic obedience, recall, and leash walking. Just like our individual training, we tailor each Board & Train program specifically to your dog and their specific temperament and needs. Our longer program is perfect for building advanced obedience and off leash skills, as well as for canines who may be exhibiting behavioral challenges, resource guarding, aggression, or need additional specific training.
We offer both two and four week programs, and every Board & Train program automatically includes a complimentary Going Home lesson and a year of free maintenance training sessions ($5,300 value). Pricing for Board & Train begins at $1,900 and is all inclusive of housing, daily training sessions, and equipment.
